Online cancellations or rescheduling less than 12 hours notice, will need to be done via email info@cera-studio.com or phone 301.657.2372. Next steps will be taken accordingly based on the time we are contacted. 

You will fill out a detailed consent form when you schedule your first visit that will help inform your waxer of your allergies, product use, medications, etc... Be sure to give accurate answers to these questions as they can affect your skin's sensitivity level and can be harmful. You will need to inform your waxer if anything changes on your consent form at the time of each visit.

Trim Before your appointment, we do not trim at Cera. Make sure your hair is approximately 1/4 of an inch long (not longer than 1/2 inch). Stop shaving 2-3 weeks before coming in for a bikini wax to ensure your hair is long enough to be waxed (1/4 - 1/2 inch).

Please be sure to use a complimentary Fem Wipe upon arrival prior to your treatment. Your waxer thanks you in advance.  

You will want to avoid large amounts of caffeine or alcohol, since both can cause your skin to be more sensitive. Avoid tanning (both in direct sunlight and/or tanning beds) for 24-48 hours prior to your wax treatment. We will not be able to wax over sunburned skin. If you are having a Facial waxing treatment, you will need to avoid any exfoliating product or treatments for 5 days prior to your appointment and approximately 3 days after your appointment (this includes, but not limited to, Chemical Peels, Retin-A, Differin, acne products...).

You will want to avoid working out, tanning (both in direct sunlight and/or tanning beds), pool/jacuzzi, exfoliating for 48 hours after your wax treatment. Your skin is more sensitive and prone to bacteria right after being waxed, so proper aftercare is essential for a safe result.

We use Hard Wax for bikini, facial & underarm waxing treatments. Hard wax is more gentle on these sensitive areas and does not adhere to the skin, simply shrink wraps around the hair itself to result in a more pleasant experience.

We offer wax Bikini waxing for Women only.

"Good Girl" = Basic clean up of the outer sides and some off the very top.

"Curious" = Extended Bikini. A basic clean up of the outer sides, deeper clean up of the upper sides and some off the very top (does not include labia or backside).

"Vixen" = Full Brazilian and removes all of the hair from the labia and back side (between the cheeks). You will need to inform your waxer before your treatment starts if you would like to leave a strip or a triangle in the front, otherwise your waxer will routinely remove everything.

We do offer waxing for men, however, we do not offer Male Brazilian or bottom waxing. Please refer to the 'Men Treatments" section of the website for a full listing.

Absolutely NOT...we do not double dip on ANY areas. We use one stick per dip, and then it’s thrown away. We take extra care to be clean and professional. You will notice the difference.

There is street and parking lot meter parking for Bethesda, MD location. Most meters allow you to use a card or you can register your car and payment info at parkmobile.com .

We specialize in waxing.  We use high quality strip and hard wax for your treatments. We don't just give you a wax! We wax poetic with an experience that starts with the option to select your choice of music for your treatment. And when you leave, we treat you to sparkling, still water or a soft drink. Indulge in some chocolate as a special treat. We are passionate about what we do and will strive to make each visit a pleasant and relaxing experience! 

We apply a post-wax serum directly after your treatment that is enriched with various essential oils to act as a natural antiseptic and soothes the skin. If you experience extended redness we find that applying cool compresses can help. Ask your waxer for a home care regime designed just for you!

When you shave it cuts the hair at a blunt angle causing stubble. Shaving does not pull the hair out at the root so the hair begins to grow back within hours. Waxing removes hair at the root, and after consistent waxing the hair begins to grow in finer. When you first start waxing, you do have to remember that you have a few stages of hair growth. At times, when you come in for a wax, you may be between cycles and re-growth of hair may appear quicker until we get it all on the same cycle. Once this occurs, in most cases, you should have a period of approximately 2 weeks before your hair starts to grow back.

In most cases, you are ready for your next bikini wax treatment every 3-4 weeks (depending on the speed of your hair growth). Make sure the hair is at least a 1/4 of an inch when grown out from waxing. Your waxer will help establish a treatment plan that is best suited for your hair growth.
